have you guessed it right?

why yes,

i'm going to blog about

my bestie's birthday celebration ((:

target: felicia

venue: mykii

people present:
felicia, gabriel, ying, min and yours truly

the birthday girl decided on

a really cool spot she spied on hungrygowhere.com

called Mykii

and boy, did she keep us reeling in for more

with her description of the place as

a cozy spot at Holland V offering brunch

and furthermore,

at an affordable price of only S$28++!

okay, okay, i admit that the compelling reason

i felt like i had to give it a go was because

their brunch name was titled

"Lazy Brunch" (:

oh the delights!

suits lazybums like me to a T!

and so, the long-awaited day, 27 Dec came

and i was actually on time for once!

like HURRAY!

arrived at Holland V around 1

in my fat blair-inspired outfit

only to realize i was kind of over-dressed

after FG messaged me that

she was just gonna come in shorts!

like uh oh, but never mind,

and soon min, ying,

fer and her beau, gabriel arrived!

so we started walking to the restaurant

and i had to say that i was quite skeptical at first

since the restaurant sounded

like a japanese restaurant

but only to learn that it serves western food

like what the hell right? *raise brow*

and i had my concerns like

whether it was air-conditioned,

(because i was wearing leggings and

i obviously didn't want to melt in those)

whether it serves lousy brunch and etc!

yes, i know, i sound like one spoilt brat!

but i soon found my concerns

and skepticism totally unnecessary

cause the place was nicely decorated

it was air-conditioned

and it looked like a small little cozy cottage!

and so, now on to the food!

we were greeted by the Mykiian Brunch Platter

which consisted of eggs done

sunny side up, well-done,

overeasy, scrambled or omelette

served with hash brown,

(which was quite a pity as it was burnt)

cheesy baked wild tomatoes,

mixed salad,

streaky bacon & chicken chipolata sausage!

oh and have i mentioned that

the eggs are free-flow?!

like totally AWESOME!

especially since all of us love our eggs so much!

and so, we went extremely over the top by

ordering like 4 plates of egg each?

which kind of meant we slaughtered

a total of 16 chicks!

oops!

it's a wonder we didn't have

nightmares of chicken that night!

(hey, which means,

bbc ate so many of her own kind!)

and yeah, after that, we selected our mains!

FG and i chose to go for the more oriental dish

Tamarind Glazed Chicken with Glass Noodles

while min went for the Forest of Mushroom Pasta

and ying went for the Roast Vegetable Wrap!

needless to say,

FG and i relished the entire bowl clean

as it tasted kind of thai-chinese,

just the way we like

as it seems more like an appetizer,

not heavy on the palate!

min's pasta would have been a good dish

if not for the powdery cheese that ruined it all

poor ying did not touched her Roast Vegetable Wrap

as it contained her much-dreaded capsicum!

though it didn't quite matter

since we were all rather stuffed after the brunch platter!

after which, we ordered the

Granny's Aromatic Lime Leaf Pancakes

in chocolate or maple syrup!

which was also free-flow!

it's kind of like a dream come true!

a free-flow Mcdonald's breakfast in disguise!

by then, we were already full to the brim

but it felt so good lazying around

on the sofa-like seat,

enjoying the professionally done eggs,

catching up on gossips

and talking about everything

and nothing at all!

definitely an absolutely wonderful afternoon

spent with great company!

thanks FG for the great recommendation (:

oh and in case you guys are wondering,

my presents to FG were:

- Gold Clutch

- Houndstooth Dress

- Stress-reducing toy
(those that shake their heads)

before you guys start dozing off,

here are the visuals for that lovely day!
