Was a pleasant evening out with the girls last night and gosh, it's been so long since I last met them!
Anyway, everything was set to feel like an awesome night!
Like the lovely weather (as captured on the photo above), the vibrant night scene and of course...bunch of gorgeous company!
Met Mich and Ying at Central first and we walked around to hunt for a suitable cake for Kel!
But oh my god, we had a tough time hunting for a cake there! Most of the bakeries sold actual pastries or pandan chiffon cake!
In the end, we tried The Coffee Connoisseur (or rather better known as TCC) after accidentally crashing onto it around the corner...but we still left without buying anything!
Lol! Think the male staff attending to us probably felt like rolling his eyes at us because we took a hell lot of time deciding which cake to buy (even retorted to asking FG on msn!) and bombing him questions about this cake and that cake but in the end we still left empty-handed! Oops!
Anyway, we went to pick up Yi at the Charles & Keith outlet and with that, the four of us walked over to Clarke Quay and headed to the restaurant first!

Not exactly one of the most awesome shots i have taken;
but hey, i was running along while shooting it!
Another epic fail shot which I personally love because of the vibrant colors!
Photo before the jump would have been perfect if not for that pole!
Beautiful shot of Central
Reached the restaurant, Borgata Trattoria Osteria! Kel's and Ying's choice of dinner place! And wow, the ambience of the place was wonderful and the food was rather delectable, I must say!
Realized I forgot to capture their signboard so I took it from their site! Lol!
Was greeted by a framed photo of Mona Lisa on the wall
Check out the green crepe on the ceiling;
nice wine bar fridges by the way!
Enticing lit ceilings <3

The calamari which we ordered and shared!
*Gulp* Sorry Paul the Octopus!
Min playing the fool...as usual!
Kel's Spaghetti Al Cartoccio;
Four out of seven of us ordered this since it seems like such a good seafood deal!
Kel with her foiled pasta!
We were joking that Kel was doing facial since there was ALOT of smoke billowing out of her foiled pasta!
Yupp, like a wedding dinner! Lol!
The other two different dishes! Beef and Lasagna!
Bao Bao's Lasagna;
Bao couldn't manage another mouthful after eating half of it as it was simply too filling!
Close up of Ying's Prime Beef; S$30-something
Ying said it was rather good tho Bao said it seems bloody
but Ying said she preferred it this way so I guess it's up to one's preferences!
Ying ordered it medium rare by the way!
Min with her crayfish pasta with white wine;
Had a taste of it, courtesy of Min and it was goood,
especially if you love Aglio Olio stuff (non-heavy base)
My Spaghetti Al Cartoccio (taken without flash); S$22
Real good + Value for money! It had half a crayfish, two prawns, some clams and mussels!
Pity the pasta was quite little, that is for me!

A whole heck of seafood, so much that I had difficulty finishing mine!
But I would love more pasta though!
Kel laughing at Min's fingers!
Thanks to BBC, all of us were trying to make our two fingers touch each other to look like we were showing our middle fingers when we were not!
...And the craze continues!
Lol! Ying and I were saying that Bao epic fail cause her fingers looked like she was doing the ET sign!

Oh yeah, in between, we were entertained by their complimentary bread basket and dipping (which looked something like olive oil + black vinegar) and it came like out of nowhere so thinking that Mich ordered it, initially had half a mind to ask her what's in the dipping! Lol!

Oh yeah, anyway after our meal, wanted to head to the washroom but they refused to let me go! Was thinking that it's probably cause everyone hasn't finished eating yet so I waited!
Oh and Mich seemed rather upset about having to peel one of her prawns and she was gone for a split second, came back and told us that she went to complain about having to peel her own prawn! Felt it was rather weird then especially cause Mich wasn't one to blow things out of proportion unnecessarily but didn't gave it such thought!
And after a few minutes later, badly wanted to use the toilet especially after I had down like three cups of water! Don't ask me why I drank like a water tank but I was really really thirsty that day! Told everyone I'm going to the toilet since everyone was done with their meal but faced objections and refusal again!
Mich even had this mockingly-fierce tone and said, "Later then go lahs! You must go now ah?!" then gullible me was like "Yeah, kinda! Cause I just down like three cups of iced water!" By then, I was already extremely bewildered by all the refusals to let me go to the washroom in peace! Was actually suspecting something fishy going on! Some conspiracy to prevent me from using the toilet! Lol!
Turned out...
They had sneakily took up my suggestion and ordered the chocolate lava cake for Kel!
(Remember Mich and her complaint? Turned out she went to order the cake and not complain!)

To think I was kept in the dark all that while! Lol!

The Happy Birthday Girl!
They were playing some song as the chocolate lava cake was being carried out to Kel, I honestly thought it was the wedding bells song (cause honestly, the song had "ten ten ten" in front and we were joking about someone having candlelight dinner with Yi Hao) but turned out to be a birthday song!
Though we were clowning around that they should have played Sean Kingston's "Fire Burnin' On A Dancefloor", since it's more apt for Kel! Lol!

A photo with the gang!
If only we could photoshop FG in, would have been perfect!

Love Mich's hair color <3
The almost satisfied birthday girl!
Anyway, my first question after the birthday cake deed was, "So I think I can go to the toilet now right? May I?" Lol! Rest of them were laughing and saying that they seem like they were preventing me to go to the washroom but it came off rather funny!
Min lured Kel to the toilet and we quickly tried to stuff the present we got her into her mini bag but her bag was really too mini so we HAD to take out her WALLET and Bao Bao went to kidnap her wallet! Lol!
Meanwhile, Min was desperately trying to delay Kel in the washroom by slowing washing her hands (and most probably fooling around) etc
And oh there she goes...

Surprise Kel!
Kel suspecting whether there's a bomb in our gift
Ta-dah! Coach wallet!
Close up of the Coach wallet! Check out Mich's nails please!
Oh yeah and we were having this small talk whether next year's presents will be upgraded to Louis Vuitton! Lol! But of course it's probably just an unattainable dream for the next 4 years? Maybe after 4 years, we can finally try to aim for it! Hopefully!
Anyway, our common clubbing friend cum ex-schoolmate cum ex-uniform group mate (he was in NCC when we were in GB/GG & NPCC so we usually mingle together after school and CCAs) cum Kel's god-brother, Yi Hao dropped by to give Kel his birthday greetings!
God-siblings Yi Hao & Kel
Asked for the bill and Kel didn't even noticed that her wallet was missing all this while as I think she was too smitten with our gift! Lol! Being the mischief-maker, Bao Bao stuffed Kel's entire wallet inside the bill booklet and joked that dinner was on Kel's tab!
Went out after settling the bill and they decided to go clubbing afterwards! After consulting our all-time clubbing expert, Yi, made our way to Rebel for ladies'...and one guy's night!
Disclaimer:
Did some contrast editing here as it was simply too dark so pardon me for the crappy photo quality, but of course also due to my lousy but trusty Sony Camera!
Snapped a photo of Hooters while they were busy discussing!
Tons of guys inside (hopefully single!),
don't know whether for the WC or the hot girls working in there!

Clinic!
A hospital-themed bar where clubbers drank from their fake intravenous therapy (IV) bags on a pole;
which were filled with real drinks of course!
...And the clubbers sat on wheelchairs too!
Arrived at our destination, Rebel!
However, they only had free entry for ladies' night which meant Yi Hao had to pay if he went in so we decided to go to another clubbing place Yi recommended instead!
Debating where to go while Kel poses for a photo!

...Still contemplating where to go!
Bao Bao & Ying
Bao Bao & Ying (with flash)
In case you're wondering, Ying isn't drunk (at least not in this photo!)
Some pub called "The Rapper Room"
My first thought was, "Wow I think Jay-Z and Kayne West goes there!"
Awesome broadway theatre feel!
Shanghai Dolly!
The female staff there had her hair up in a bun and wore a really pretty cheongsam!

Anyway we went inside and it was free entry! Although the bouncer did jokingly requested for a number before we could go in! Lol!
Oh yeah and the female staff asked to search our bag before letting us in! Maybe because we had real big huge bags since most of the gang came down from work!
And...we are in!!!
Some eccentric mysterious thingy!
Love the glittery wall though! Oh and you can see me snapping in the mirror!
Lol! Anyway, weird things are more suitable for Fanana, she loves them!
Inside Shanghai Dolly!
Oh yeah and they have a stage but we didn't see any performance!
Love the overhead lights!
Feels like we're on a cruise ship!
Oh yeah while I was busy and happily snapping away, someone shouted, "Hey, no cameras allowed!" Being an instant reaction, I immediately put down the camera and tried to scan around and see which idiot was the one shouting!
Initially wanted to keep my camera as I thought someone was offended by me accidentally snapping him when I was just shooting the surroundings, then I had this sudden thought that, "Hey, it can't be that no cameras are allowed into here, the cheongsam lady didn't confiscate it when she searched my bag!"
Then I realized that voice belonged to none other than...Yi Hao! And he was like, "Eh Yi Hsien, it's me lahs! Hahahas! You really thought no cameras allowed ah?!" Damn him! -_-"
Anyway, we left after a while cause the place was packed and it was too dark and musky, not really our type of place!
The gang decided to head down to St. James so we tried to take cab or bus down but the cabs were all hired or busy so we jokingly asked Bao Bao to pull up her leggings and show off her toned legs to hail a cab! À la Carrie in SATC2!
All chose to take a bus in the end since it came after waiting for a while!
We reached Vivo and the gang walked over to St. James while I left for the night and took another bus home instead of clubbing with them since it's my sis's graduation tomorrow morning (and I don't want to look like a zombie!)
Oh and the bus terminated at Clementi but since it passed by Dover MRT, alighted and shot some photos of my old school, Singapore Polytechnic and the gorgeous infrastructure of the MRT!
Dover MRT at night!
The bridge linking SP to the MRT!
The oncoming traffic
Oh and spotted some lovely decorations and tents put up outside my block at the pavilion! Probably for some wedding tomorrow!
Tents placed up!
Check out the glamorous (with a capital 'G') ceiling!
...And the red long carpet!
If I hadn't known better, would have thought they were awaiting the arrival of the President!
