Inception & Despicable Me

Movie marathon time!

Inception and Despicable Me, back-to-back, this time 'round!

Headed down to Plaza Sing to meet up with my fellow enthusiastic pre-arranged-long-time-ago Inception mate or otherwise better known as my movie "kaki", Fanana!

Waited for her to arrive and we bought the movie tickets (at student price)!

Oh and blur me actually forgot to bring my SIM student pass! Fortunately, the counter staff was like super duper nice and decided to close one eye and accept my Popular student card! Lol!

And off we went for Inception first!

Presenting some scenes from the movie!

Warning: Spoilers ahead!

Leo stunningly handsome in a suit, as usual!

 Leonardo DiCaprio as Cobb
(the genius who extracts secrets from his target's dreams)

Presenting my current dream guy, Joseph Gordon Levitt, as Arthur
(the guy who monitor the world of the dream)

And...Tom Hardy as the funny guy, Eames!
(the impersonator who can imitate anyone)

The extremely gifted-to-act Ellen Page as Ariadne!
(the architect who build and create the layouts of the dream)
Noticed Ellen ever since her debut in Juno & Hard Candy
and I must add that she looked exceptionally pretty in here!

Marion Cotillard as the extremely scary, manipulative and insane Mal!
This actress is relatively unknown to me
but her performance was so impressive, it blew me away!
Went home, googled her name and
realized that she's a Academy Award & Golden Globes winner!

Michael Caine as Cobb's mentor and father-in-law, Miles!
Don't know about you guys but the phase, "Alfred the butler",
kept popping out of my mind whenever he appeared! Lol!

Another photo of the charismatic Leo with his subject,
Cillian Murphy as Robert Fischer!
Again, his portray of Scarecrow from "Batman Begins" is like glued to my mind!

Ken Watanabe as Saito (their client who engaged their 'stealing' services)
with the mentally unstable Mal!
Remembered Ken Watanabe from "Memoirs of A Geisha"
but he was much more hilarious and outstanding in here!

Leonardo DiCaprio & Ellen Page!
Just had to post this photo as it made Ellen looked like a small girl here! Lol!

...Last two photos of Joseph Gordon Levitt...I swear!
Thank god he's still single! Lol!

 ...Okay I lied!
The Point Man!

 The Mark!

The Forger!

The Tourist!

...And last but not least, Leo as The Extractor!

The movie was absolutely mind-bending and might probably be the best movie of 2010! The effects were extremely breathtaking and though it isn't in 3D, it actually feels like a 3D-movie with all the building deconstructions, water splashing, explosions and the sudden sprouting of new landscapes (which actually feels surreal right down to the details)

I truly haven't enjoyed a satisfyingly impenetrable movie in such a long time! Inception really plays with your mind because at some moments in the movie, you would find yourself questioning whether they are out of their first, second and last but not least, third dream!

The amazing 360 degrees rotating corridor!

Not to forget this corridor which sparkled my first interest in Inception since May! It's truly remarkable because everything here was built from scratch and turned 360 degrees by two huge motors! Especially keeping in mind that the actors have to be trained on how to walk, turn and fight everyday in this 360 degrees corridor!

Oohs and their publicity campaign was so damn unique and looked so surreal! Now this was what got me completely determined to watch this movie! You will get what I mean when you see the photos below!

Truly amazing, isn't it?!

 Presenting...The A team!

Furthermore, there's the all-perfect ensemble of stellar cast with terrific on-screen chemistry with each other and scenes extremely well-coordinated, an outstandingly brilliantly original movie (although I think it probably drew some inspiration from "The Matrix" trilogy of films), truly deserving of all the rave reviews!

After the movie, both of us were wearing this "O.M.G! It's SOOO good!" expression on our face! Lol! Anyway, we went to eat at our other usual dining place, Pastamaniaaa!!!

Okay, I don't know why I'm fanning my hand like mad!
Probably cause it's mad hot in there or something?! Lol!

Me with my tortoise-shell specs!
Geek is IN!

Fanana looking like she's sewing something!
Or probably acting as a dutiful wife to her "Jessie"

Fanana with her electric blue maxi!

After our mini lunch break, we proceeded on to watch "Despicable Me"!

Despicable Me was funny and cute but of course, I still prefer Inception any time of the day!

Anyway, here are some of the scenes from the movie and voices behind this big production!

Steve Carell as Gru!

 Jason Segel as Victor!

Russell Brand as The Scientist!

Julie Andrews as Gru's mother!
...Who "baahs" at everything Gru do but eventually think he makes the mark of a father figure!

Miranda Cosgrove as the too-mature-for-her-own-good Margo!

Elsie Fisher as Agnes, the youngest girl who love unicorns!

 Gru's minions!

Lol! Victor swiping his bum against the mac keyboard to destruct weapons!
Read some webby and they said that Victor was supposedly probably modeled after Bill Gates!
Note the resemblance??

...And "It's flufffyyy!"
