hits a home run: The Misadventures of Kimmie and....

It felt like a one-day tour around Singapore on that day with my special guest!

First itinerary on the list, we met up for some decent breakfast at McDonalds!

Especially since both of us have been craving it for quite some time!

Straight after that, we decided to impromptu-ly include 313@Somerset and Ikea in our itinerary!

You may ask, then what's the misadventures about?

Well, basically nothing! Lol!

Okay, the initial plan was to state this blog entry as "The Adventures of Kimmie and... " however it would feel like I was plagiarizing Muttons' (from our local radio station 987fm) hit radio segment, "The Adventures of Ping and Pong"

Hence, I scrapped that idea and decided to state it as a "Misadventure" instead, which is rather true since we traveled so unconventionally from one end of Singapore to the other end on that day!

Okay, enough said!

Can you guess who my special guest was?

She is none other than...

...Fanana!!!

Are you guys planning to whack me now?!

Oops! Okay okay, yes, Fanana isn't really considered some special guest since I see her nearly every day! Which reminds me, I just saw her 2 days before for Resident Evil! Lol! Anyway, it was just to input some fun factor into this space! *No one was harmed in the process!*

Our first time meeting up so damn early (other than school) in the morning just for breakfast! Come to think of it, Ah Lahs has never ever woken up that early to go out together or even for some breakfast!

So yeah, we met up at Heerens' McDonalds and it was strangely quiet there, but maybe it's because it's located at the lesser known basement one or just simply because we were way too early!

hence the tormented look on my face! Lol!

Oh and there was this Sumo figurine outside Kiseki and Fanana wanted to request me to take with it until that evil glare in my eyes stopped her! Lol! Or rather she was afraid of getting whacked by me!

Walked over to 313@Somerset for some guilty retail therapy!

Headed straight for New Look (since it has been neglected in our shopping places like forever) and although I didn't plan on spending anything as I was saving my bucks for this Uniqlo Houndstooth Knitted Cardigan (which I have been eyeing alot recently), I sinned!

Couldn't resist getting this pair of Marc Jacobs-inspired clogs which I have been seeing on plenty of blogshops (but didn't want to take the risk of buying the wrong size) so Alleluia!, when I tried it on and it fitted so snugly! It was then that I knew I HAD TO GET IT!

Lol! But it wasn't that dreadfully expensive! It was like about $38 for this pair of clogs! Which was a steal, in my own opinion because blogshops out there were selling it for 40 bucks and probably at a more inferior quality!

Which I crawled to school in these and felt like a samsui women or foot-binding imperial lady!

Oh yeah, fyi, I fell straight on my bum in these as I slid into my lecture seat!

Oh yeah, Fanana wanted to snap a photo of me carrying those at the cashier but some male staff from New Look was like covering the camera lens with his hands and growled, "No photography!" Lol! Fanana and I were like stunned cause it felt like some bodyguard of mine just fended off Fanana the paparazzo!

Anyway, tragedy and misfortune struck after that! Which explains my "on-the-verge-of-breaking-into-tears" face below!

After I purchased and paid for my clogs, the cashier stamped that on my receipt!

Like total FML! I could have gotten it at half-price!!!

Went off to Uniqlo to get my Uniqlo Houndstooth Knitted Cardigan after that and at $70, it didn't come cheap at all! Total hard earned money heart-break! But, oh well, it was a good GG-inspired investment!

Walked past Forever 21 but the two of us just shopped there two days ago so no! But to make temptation matters worse, they changed a new wardrobe collection!

The two of us went, "Eh! Looks different from the day before yesterday! *And then reality struck us* Oh no, oh no, they changed their collection!" and before we knew it, we both simultaneously darted (as fast as our legs could take us) in the opposite direction to the bus-stop

We then jetted over to Ikea! Just kidding! We obviously hopped onto a bus to get there!

It had been quite some time after our Macd Breakfast so we were both famished and couldn't wait to grab a bite!

The roasted beef was soft, juicy and delicious, especially with the mushroom sauce!

Found the broccoli a little too soft and watered-down!

But overall, this roasted beef is definitely a MUST-TRY!

Anyway, it was okay, not spectacular! Tasted like Lentil Soup!

After finishing our ice cream, we cabbed over to Fanana's place (to drop her and her shelf off) and it's nice of her elder brother to come down and specially helped her with the shelf, though it was funny how her young brother asked her to buy a wooden plank when we were still in Ikea!
