One word sums it up: Excitement!!!
Was planning for the longest time to watch Resident Evil: Afterlife especially because I had watched the previous Resident Evil movie precedent, Resident Evil: Extinction, and also because I'm a huge fan of zombie movies!
My persistence in watching the movie grew stronger after they announced in 2009 that they would be filming the movie...in nothing less but 3D! Furthermore, to top it off, they were using this fusion camera system, which was the exact same camera used by James Cameron for Avatar!
Anyway, another cool fact was that this particular camera was also invented by James Cameron for NASA's expedition to Mars and it can apparently capture up to 24 frames per second!
Okay, anyway, so I knew I just had to drag my usual movie "kaki", Fanana, out to watch this with me!
And...we finally got 'round to watching it last month!!!
Anyway, on that day, Fanana was caught in the the horrible town-side traffic so I camwhored abit while waiting for her! Wahahas!

Hope I didn't spoil your sight! Lol!
Fanana arrived in a hurry soon after and we went into the theater!
Warning: Spoilers and gruesome movie stills ahead!

Milla Jovovich (Alice) with her clones!
One of my favorite scenes from the movie!
Milla (Alice) throwing darts, Japanese style!
Especially since it's 3D so it felt like the darts were coming towards you!
Really really cool!
Another of my favorite scene in the movie!
Ali Larter (as Claire Redfield) running in the broken water pipe's "water fountain" scene
during the confrontation with the Executioner Majini!
The water scene felt really surreal and fantastic
with all the water drizzling all over plus Ali had to run in this "rain"!
And they implemented the Executioner Majini from the game!
It was quite funny when they finally defeated it as it had those arcade game coins falling out!
To which Fanana analysed that it was because in the game,
whenever the player defeated a "monster", they would get coins!
Ali Larter (Claire) & Milla Jovovich (Alice)
combining forces to defeat the Executioner Majini!
Girl Power FTW!!!
The protagonist of the movie, Shawn Roberts (as Albert Wesker),
who has turned into a zombie with superhuman abilities!
Check out his cool red eyes!
Shawn Roberts (as Albert Wesker) threw the sunglasses...
...and Wentworth Miller (as Chris Redfield) caught them! Lol!
Can't stop laughing hysterically whenever I recalled this scene!
And my most favorite scene of the movie!
Although it would probably gross out most of you guys but it's a Majini-fied dog complete with mandibles and tentacles coming out of it's mouth!
I'm honestly quite amazed that it can split open!
Grossed out yet?! Okay, enough of all these disgusting stuff!
The movie was really quite enthralling and mind-bending in terms of all these special effects! Especially those bullets, darts and glass-kicking scene! Like woahs, before this movie, I didn't even know that glass shreds could be kicked and used to kill zombies!
However, as usual, the plot's cheesy as hell and the zombies were so fast in attacking this time, that even before you could realized it, the zombies were behind their victims, unleashed their tentacles on them and had dragged them away!
It happened so damn fast that you would go, "Holy shit, what just happened?! Did the zombie just attacked him/her?" To which, Fanana inputted that she couldn't help jumping in her seats during those moments!
Overall, I think the movie's like a video game roller coaster ride! And it's totally not scary AT ALL! So have fun and just don't focus much on the plot and last but not least, to cap it off...
...'Lebron James' rocks! Lol!
Anyway, it was off to the toilet after that before going off for lunch at Pastamania!
Fanana and me!
Camwhored abit while waiting for Fanana to come out of her cubicle! Oops!
Fanana shaking her god-knows-what magic potion!
And it was time for...Pastamania!!!
Love my polka dotted top!
Fanana with the pom pom flower on her head!
We walked around Cineleisure for a while before proceeding to Forever 21 @ 313 Somerset!
Knowing us, we dived straight for hairbands and paraded around, looking in the mirror then laughing at each other on how silly we looked in those exaggerated hair pieces!
Grabbed some stuff and went to try on in the fitting room! Love the F21 fitting room as they have this huge knob in the middle! Feels so Alice in Wonderland!
In the fitting room!
Initially wanted to get this but it looked too sheer and
I felt it placed too much emphasis on my chest area so...NO!
Don't care what you guys say but
I love the vintagey look I had on that day!
Pardon the stupid act-pouty lips though! Lol!
And Fanana must be wondering why I took ages in the fitting room! Lol! Although to my defense, she was trying on more outfits than me so I was the one waiting hence I might as well utilized my time!
Fanana striking her best "The Price Is Right!" pose!
Where's Drewww?!
Nope, I'm not pregnant, that's my tummy!
Thank you very much! Lol!
Joint photo!
Fanana's guilty pleasure of the day!
Or rather her Achilles' heel!
Tho it was a marked improvement this time 'round,
and it's all thanks to me!
S$90 -> S$50 spent on F21!
Resting feet time...at Cold Rock!
Was rather hilarious because we both settled upon the Strawberry Cheesecake! Me because it had whipped cream on top and I just love whipped cream to bits (why yes, hello fats!) and Fanana because it seemed like such a good deal (since it included pre-arranged mix-ins and free waffle cup!)
Ordered the regular sized one while Fanana ordered the kiddie sized cup! But in the end...they turned out to be the exact same portion! Yes, Fanana and I scrutinized them across all angles and even took down the following photos!
Can't remember whose!
I think it was mine!
Fanana and my Strawberry Shortcake Ice Cream side by side!
You guys be our witness! Lol!
Fanana checking again to make sure!
The kiddie (left) and regular (right) scoop looked exactly the same!
Bits of my waffle cup which crumbled and one piece fell onto the table leg!
Was so devastated that I felt like giving it a proper burial!
Anyway, nice wedges, Fanana!
Happy moments before the waffle cup crumbled! ^_^
Fanana in what else but Cold Rock land!
Check out the wallpaper behind her!
Finished up our ice creams, called Ion concierge and walked over to Ion as I wanted to buy eye primers from Sephora!
Spent a great deal of time comparing the eye primers and finally settled upon Urban Decay Eye Primer Potion in Sin! Didn't took Eden (nude colored one) as I feared that I wouldn't be able to tell which portion of my eye did I miss out on and stuff!
We also spent hours stuck on spraying and sniffing the fruity perfume vials available like Coconut, Pomegranate and Lemongrass!
Oh yeah, cheapo us didn't forget to leave with some samples! Lol!
Fanana was wondering whether we could take this particular Sephora anti-ageing foundation cream sample (especially since they had many in a glass container, on the make up counter) and thick-skinned us went to ask and I deliberately lifted my Sephora plastic bag high up behind Fanana so that they will feel obliged to let us take some! Lol!
We each happily took one sample each (cannot be THAT cheapo right! in such a high-end makeup boutique too!) and it was home sweet home for us!
