BSB Outing

Remember the DBF Reunion 2010?!

Straight after that, Joys and I headed to Tiong Bahru first (to idle the time away) after hitching a ride from Vincent and I had a presto change out of my Sue Sylvester jumpsuit!

Rainy and Fanana were still stuck at home, the former stuck with spring cleaning duties and the latter had just got home after work and was busy enjoying her bubble bath!

After crossing out places to go, we decided to go ahead with our original Haji Haji plan and headed to Bugis for...

...CRYSTAL JADE!

Our ultimate favorite, Hot & Sour La Mian!

Joys with our bowl of "la mian"!

Ta-da! La Mian for you?!

Hot & Sour Dumplings/ Tom Yam Dumplings
Recommended this dish to Joys years ago and
it has now became our 2nd favorite <3

Crystal Jade was awesome because we had fun gossiping in between bites of our favorite food! Made me kind of missed the days back in poly when Joys and I would treat ourselves to Crystal Jade (in between classes) quite frequently!

Plus C-Jade sessions were exceptionally fun when we had "xiao lao bao" basketball gang for company or when Zenny Zen and Sky drove us to the Holland V branch when we had a combined outing!

Anyway, Joys and I went huge scale window-shopping around Bugis Junction after that to burn off the calories and Fanana and Rainy arrived soon after!

Walked over to Haji Haji and we went into The Blogshop! I was like happily picking out clothes and was trying them in the fitting room when the lights suddenly went off and Joys and gang were hurrying me to go off as everyone had already exited the shop as it was already their closing time at like 6pm on a weekend?!

Anyway, we headed over to Vainpot and the shopkeeper of the day was an old uncle! So cute! Whenever I tried to bargain down the price for Fanana (who was intent on buying this particular pair of wedges), he would say "Sorry! Fixed Price!" Hahahas!

Even when Fanana asked whether they accepted Nets, the old uncle heard it as a question of whether it's "Net Price" and he was like, "Yes! Net Price!" Lol!

Anyway, it was time for break fast so we had to scout around Haji Haji for a suitable Halal restaurant but most of the restaurants around only offered buffet style break fast so we eventually settled for this restaurant!

Gulf Beach Lebanese Restaurant & Cafe

Rainy and Joys!

 The menu!

And the crazy expensive price tags!

Oh and we made a quick check with the restaurant's staff whether we could bring takeaway Pluck ice cream into the restaurant especially since our main aim to Haji Haji was to eat Pluck ice cream but we can't because Rainy and Fanana haven't broke fast yet! Furthermore, to make matters worse, Pluck closes at 7pm, which is like 20 minutes away from now!

Asked the restaurant staff amicably whether we could bring some Pluck ice cream into the restaurant since we had already ordered some mains and drinks from the restaurant and fortunately, the restaurant's staff were nice enough to oblige our request though the female staff had to emphasize that if we had, unfortunately, came down with diarrhea, tummy pains or food poisoning, their restaurant will not be held liable at all!

Promptly agreed as I fully understood their underlying concerns and off Joys and I went to fetch some ice cream from Pluck and in a such a hurry since they closed in 10 minutes' time!

Joys frolicking her ice cream!

Fanana's Butterscotch Ice Cream!

Rainy's Chocolate with Marshmallows ice cream!

My Sea Salt Caramel and Butterscotch Ice cream!
I reckon these two are the best flavors around!
Seriously, the Sea Salt Caramel tasted much better
than Magnum Gold!

Why so sad, Rainy?!
Are you missing Shake-A-Shake?!

Doe-eyed Fanana!
Okay okay, I promise I'll try not to steal your ice cream!
Oh and THIS is the doe-eyed innocent look
Fanana usually shoots me
if she has some special request! Sickening! Lol! -_-"

 Fanana and me!
Current and old Tiongsters!!!

Ice Cream Buddies FTW!
Oh yeah and Fanana's hair is REAL! It's not a wig!
It's Fanana's actual hair permed/curled!

 Make way! Make way!
Camel sipping on water tank!

After a long wait, our food arrived!

 Some cucumber yogurt I ordered!
Three words: Cucumber. Face. Mask.

Some cheese rolls we shared, which was expensive, given the portions!

Some complimentary prunes to kick-start our meals!

 Joys' Potato Wedges!

Overall, the food wasn't quite worth mentioning so I shall not go into details here! The staff and their service were pleasant though!

 Yes yes, Rainy!
We get that you're over the moon after breaking fast!
And Joys, what's with leaning against Rainy?!

And an ending shot of Fanana and Me!

P.S. Hope you guys enjoyed this blog entry!
See you guys next post on Jap. Restaurant Outing with Lynn and Sow!
