REVISION

in my opinon,

revision class today was kinda lousy

as our module's foreign lecturer

who claimed that he came from

the university of ________

(fill in the blanks yourself)

spoke with a really heavy french slur

like the english word "demand"

coming out of his mouth it would be "ze-mon"

that half of the time you would be going "what?"

i offer my sincere apology in advance

if i offended anyone with this post

{and please, to irritants who loves to create rifts,

i do love france and

the french people,

especially french guys as

they are said to be

the most romantic people on earth

which i have to

try it out for myself someday *winks}

however i had to point this out

as i am rather skeptical about all this

since he claimed that

he was from the university of ________

then he should have a good command of english

but apparently not

and it doesn't help matters that

he accidentally exposed his boxers mid-way

throughout the entire lecture

and it really does gets on my nerves

when he clicked the slides so quickly

and so haphazardly

while you are already desperately trying to

copy down the slides in a haste manner

which all boils down to one word

"bloody hell"

what the hell

it has been a fulfilling day today as

my sis just bought me a hello kitty swing ((:

oops okay just before you run for your lives,

i should clarify it

my sis bought me a miniature of

a hello kitty sitting on a swing

and it can keep swinging on its own too

as it's solar powered (cool right?)

and i really love it

cause as you guys know i love hello kitty

and it's absolutely sweet and cute

and i like anything given by my sister ((:

(okay probably except for the time when

she gave me a hula hoop and i stared point blank at her)

besides that, i also received my item that i bought online

my Chanel-Inspired Quilt Bag ((:

i absolutely love it as it has the

classic gold and black combination that i like

and since i couldn't choose a better time

to retire my Chloe-Inspired Bag

that i bought earlier last year

If you girls are interested, you can check them out here
{http://lockedup-stars.livejournal.com}

however the bag is probably oos

as it's a backorder and

the backorder for the bag has long ago closed :X

anyway, for my sister's birthday present,

i have settled upon an extremely

unique and pretty piece of clothing

isn't it pretty and nice?

hope my sister will love it to bits ((:

If interested, check them out here

LIZARD

i encountered a lizard while i was bathing today

it apparently fell from the ceiling but

thank goodness it didn't land on me

wonder who was more frightened

me or the lizard

bet the lizard was probably more petrified

as he probably thought

he had run into a HUGE giant

cakes

hmm...my sister's birthday is round the corner

and the big day is on the 1st of April

yes, i'm not kidding you,

she was really born on April Fool's
Day

and i decided on a couple of lovely cakes for her

Bakerzin's Mango Mousse

Bakerzin's Coeur Noir

Rive Gauche's Strawberry Short Cake

Rive Gauche's Guanaja

Rive Gauche's Mont Blanc

Awfully Chocolate's Chocolate Banana

well though my favourite cake shop is still The Patissier

but it's cakes are expensively priced

at a whopping $45 per cake

The Patissier's Double Chocolate Pralines

The Patissier's Passion Fruit Meringue

suggestions anyone? ((:

a dress and a clutch...what more can a girl want

back from gathering with the ah lah girls

and i'm glad to say it was a fulfilling gathering

though we broke our no-shopping vow

as everyone had just purchased

a drop-dead gorgeous 4-inch high zip heels

from charles and keith

with the exception of me of course

(though i was the one who recommended it

and can't stop raving about how gorgeous it was)

as the label does not carry my foot size

which...trust me...it's gigantic

oopies...

anyway, not one to be outdone

i bought something from charles and keith too

a lovely clutch that you usually bring along

when you are invited to view an art gallery

my art gallery clutch and i'm lovin' it

well it may not look very appealing here

but trust me,

you will definitely be blown over

when it's matched with leggings ((:

{killer effect}

and we had fun playing taboo in billy bomber's

and apparently i scared the daylights

out of the manager at billy bomber's

due to my sudden outburst of "stop disturbing me"

when the manager was delivering my

cookies and cream milkshake over

but it wasn't my fault :X

it was intended for joys

but i guess it fell onto the wrong ears :-O

oh and i'm proud to say that

after the girls' constant pleading

to do justice to their eyes and wear something new,

i bought this dress online and wore it to the gathering ((:

wonder who carried off the look better

well let's just say that i can't compare to the latter ((:

and yes, i'm very amazed that

an online blogshop actually has my size

if you girls are interested, feel free to check it out here

and no i'm not advertising for them

genuine customer's recommendation ((:

http://missywee.livejournal.com

and i also prepped a new makeup

as i had my aunt's birthday dinner later in the evening

and it's at the exorbitantly-priced crystal jade palace

so of course, i had to do some work on my face ((:

make-d up look 1

make-d up look 2

okay people you can look up now, the nightmare is over ((:

going to go get my brownie seizures fixed now

will update again when joys has emailed me the pictures ((:

can you say no to a brownie?

gathering with the girls

gathering with the ah lahs girls tomorrow

it better be good

or i will kill the person

who suggested watching marley and me

though i have said like umpteen times

i don't like watching dog-centred movies

but according to votes-wise,

i'm the minority

which is unfair

cause in terms of size-wise

i would be the majority ((:

and drats

my old shoulder blade injury

acted up again

while i was doing the dishes tonight

hopefully it would leave

me alone by tomorrow ((:

tomorrow will be a better day

mini-buffet anyone?

http://www.lobster.com.sg/imgs/Alacarte_buffet_website_with_address.pdf

dad and i went to try out this restaurant today

and it didn't really live up to my high expectations

food

the portions of the food was kinda small

seemed sufficient only for a single person

my dad and i found the dishes

a little too salty fo
r our palates

however there were some dishes

defi
nitely worth mentioning:

braised mini whole abalone with oyster sauce
(only one serving available per head)

yum factor:

though the abalone was extremely small

almost comparable to an egg yolk

(yes i'm not kidding you)

and the broccoli and the sauce was cold when served

it was remarkably saved by the abalo
ne

as the abalone was easily chewable

(right texture and timing)

and had still retained its 'mineral taste'

overall a good dish (to get your money back)

braised sea cucumber with yam
(only one serving per table)

yum factor:
the sea cucumber was soft and kept it's 'bo
uncy-ness'

(a pity there were only two sea cucumbers)

the yam was tasty and nice

(adhered nicel
y to my taste buds)

braised shark fin's soup with crab meat
(only one serving per head)

yum factor:
what's there not to love about shark fin's soup?

their shark fin's soup was rather pleasing to the eyes

as you could really see strands of shark fins in it

however it could have been better off

if it weren't so starchy and salty

steamed tilapia with thai lemon sauce

(only one serving per table)

yum factor:
the fish was really fresh, no scent of any fishy smell

and the lemon-spicy sauce

complemented the steamed fish

(resembled a mild tom-yam steamed fish)

fried pumpkin with golden salted egg yolk
(no limit imposed)

yum factor:

the combination of the pumpkin with

the golden salted egg yolk was heavenly

(something reminiscent of the crab paste that we all love)

♥ my personal favourite ♥

stewed seafood vermicelli with fish gravy
(no limit imposed)

yum factor:
didn't exactly find the dish magnificent

but my poppa loves it and even finds it special

one dish that was so not worth ordering:

drunken sakura chicken
(no limit imposed)

ewwww factor:
total turn-off as the chicken was too sweet

and had a strong honey taste to it

absolutely no aroma or taste of the wine

service

service was like damn slow

we spent most of our time

just waiting for the food to arrive

which slightly dampened our 'buffet mood'

a fine example was that

we ordered a fish once we were seated

however it only arrived during the call for the last order

and after six requests to check on the order

however for the price paid and

considering that it has a huge lunch crowd,

i guess i shouldn't be complaining

ambience
was initially kind of appalled by the pungent fishy smell

coming from the fish tank

hence thank goodness we were brought into

the dining area relatively quickly

and the ambience was quite lovely

as it resembles a giant banquet dining hall

draped with lovely curtains and all

and you could even see east coast park's beach

if seated near to their glass walls

♥kimberly's verdict♥

this place is worth a try

for the price tag that you are paying

but probably do brace yourself and don't expect much

however it is relatively suitable

for small eaters with a small appetite

as all the portions are relatively small

(i.e. al fresco style)

(portions varies according to the no. of heads per table)

but for big eaters like me,

i guess shangri-la's the line '30 mins lunch' buffet

would be the way to go for us ((:

more yummy buffets please

exam-onometry

like all human beings on earth,

i dread exams but

this time it's exceptionally worse,

it's a "score or die" scenario

which i sometimes rendered to a "one-hit wonder"

now if only god would bless me with some

amazing memory prowess
