Class Cancelled Day

Last month was Class Cancelled Day!

Went to school one fine day and the whole lecture group was waiting for AY for almost 30 mins, only to find out that IM lecture has been cancelled!

It was rather funny because all of us waited like sitting ducks!

10 minutes gone
Maybe AY was stuck in a traffic jam!

20 mins gone
*Huge murmurs and rife speculations could be heard*
Has class been cancelled? Frantic check on the student portal for notice!

First and Second Day of School

First Day of School!

One word sums it all: Excitement!
Heehee!
Felt like a primary school kid once more!

My Charles and Keith bag that has never seen the light of day
ever since the last school semester ended!

Hanabi with Sow

Arranged for yet another of my food expedition...this time with Sow!

Being nice and all (*ahem* self-praise), I let Sow chose our dining place for that evening!

Settled upon Sow's recommendation since she emphasized that some blogger said the Japanese food was good!

So there we found ourselves...at Hanabi!

Home Alone at Shangri-la

If you have been following me on twitter, you would have known that my sis and I were left home alone one fine night when my parents went to watch the play, "Fried Rice Paradise", at the Esplanade!

And what better way to celebrate your being home alone than...

...Setting up pesky traps for potential burglars or kidnappers??

Absolute no-no! Definitely not some Kevin McCallister or rather Macaulay Culkin in any case!

Hence, for normal boring folks like me and my sis, we celebrated it by heading to Shangri-la The Line for a feast...discreetly!

The Misadventures of Kimmie and....

It felt like a one-day tour around Singapore on that day with my special guest!

First itinerary on the list, we met up for some decent breakfast at McDonalds!

Especially since both of us have been craving it for quite some time!

Straight after that, we decided to impromptu-ly include 313@Somerset and Ikea in our itinerary!

You may ask, then what's the misadventures about?

Well, basically nothing! Lol!

Okay, the initial plan was to state this blog entry as "The Adventures of Kimmie and... " however it would feel like I was plagiarizing Muttons' (from our local radio station 987fm) hit radio segment, "The Adventures of Ping and Pong"

Hence, I scrapped that idea and decided to state it as a "Misadventure" instead, which is rather true since we traveled so unconventionally from one end of Singapore to the other end on that day!

Okay, enough said!

Can you guess who my special guest was?

She is none other than...

Resident Evil: Afterlife

One word sums it up: Excitement!!!

Was planning for the longest time to watch Resident Evil: Afterlife especially because I had watched the previous Resident Evil movie precedent, Resident Evil: Extinction, and also because I'm a huge fan of zombie movies!

My persistence in watching the movie grew stronger after they announced in 2009 that they would be filming the movie...in nothing less but 3D! Furthermore, to top it off, they were using this fusion camera system, which was the exact same camera used by James Cameron for Avatar!

Anyway, another cool fact was that this particular camera was also invented by James Cameron for NASA's expedition to Mars and it can apparently capture up to 24 frames per second!

Okay, anyway, so I knew I just had to drag my usual movie "kaki", Fanana, out to watch this with me!

Kushigin Japanese Restaurant

Sudden craving for Japanese food?!

Well, that was exactly what Sow, Lynn and I felt on some random day!

After doing some research homework on the internet for worthy Japanese cuisine, I settled upon this highly-raved Japanese restaurant, Izakaya Nijumaru Restaurant, which was located at level 2 of Cuppage Plaza!

But alas, on the very day...
