Paradise Dynasty Outing

There's a new kid in town!!!

Okay, in this case, it's not a kid but a restaurant!

Bet you have seen these "xiao long bao"aka steamed meat soup bun posters or commercials plastered all over Singapore since their debut!

Was so hyped up by their good reviews on 8days magazine and TVCs that I went to try it for myself and who better to drag out than...

 ...the june twins terrors!

Okay, okay, didn't specially dragged them out for "xiao long baos" but it was also because we had to discuss about USS plans for my birthday! Which didn't come to a conclusion since Sow had an important meeting and couldn't take leave!

Anyway, as usual, I was first to arrive on that day! The rest of them were like weak manx, couldn't find the place!

The entrance of the restaurant!

Do exercise caution not to go into the wrong "Paradise" restaurant as they have a conglomerate chain of restaurants under their "Paradise" group!

The other sister "Paradise" restaurant next to Paradise Dynasty is called "Taste Paradise" which serves expensive food (like Shark Fin's Soup) more towards their target market of high-end individuals!

Oh and just a reminder that Paradise Dynasty DOES NOT entertain reservations (so don't even bother try calling - I tried and was rejected!) so you have to head down there and get a queue number as soon as possible!

Tip: Avoid going during weekends and weekday nights! Best to go on weekdays during lunch time when there will practically be no queue!

 The gorgeous decoration inside!

 The lunch crowd at 1pm!
Packed with businessmen and foreigners!

The majestic-looking ceiling!
Love that it has our zodiac sign: Dragons!

The more "normal" side of the restaurant!
Although it gives a cavern sort of feel!

And they finally found their way!
From left: Sow and Joys!

Me!!!

Fried Noodles ordered by Joys!

Joys savoring her Fried Noodles!

And not to forget what we came here for!
Their highly-publicized multi-colored "xiao long baos"!
Yummy Rating: 4.1/5

Felt that their Signature Dynasty Xiao Long Baos was not too bad, definitely almost comparable to Din Tai Fung!

It was quite a novelty change in xiao long baos! I thought that the Signature Dynasty Xiao Long Baos served as a good "sampler set" for first-time customers as they get to try every single flavor at one go!

However, it would probably be more logical to stick to one entire basket of your favorite flavor after that or during subsequent trips back? Hint: The black truffled xiao long bao was really goood!

 Another of their Signature dishes!
La Mian with Sliced Pork in Signature Pork Bone Soup!
Ultra-yummy!
The soup totally blew me away and the noodles were salty but subtle enough for me!
It's even better than Crystal Jade's chicken soup broth!
I swear, you wouldn't want to fall back into Crystal Jade and
Din Tai Fung's la mian arms after eating this!
Well, not that this Emperor-inspired soup bowl hurt either! *winks*
Yummy Rating: 4.7/5

 Sow with her la mian!

Final glimpse at the "xiao long baos" once again!

Me with my la mian aka handmade noodles!

"Hong You Chao Shou" aka Hot & Sour Dumplings!
This tasted quite like your average joe!
No "wow" factor here!
It's proven! Crystal Jade still rocks Joyys' and my socks in terms of this!
Yummy Rating: 3.0/5

Paid the bill and we went off! Total bill came up to about 72 bucks, approximately 24 bucks per pax!

Do be forewarned though that they do charge a compulsory miscellaneous charge of S$1.20 per pax for free flow of either tea or water!

Sow posing with the sign that feels so Kiehl's!

 Joyys!

 Me!!!
Although the June twin terrors proposed that
I should stand below the "his" sign! GRRR!

And it was shoe shopping time at Far East Plaza!

And yes, I bought the same old exact pair (identical design and all) of Chanel-inspired shoes as what I was wearing on that day!

It's probably already my fifth pair or something? But it's so damn comfy! Now I know why you love flats so much, Joyys! :x

 ...And it was break time!
Time to rest our pretty feet!

 The Three Musketeers!
From left: Joys, Sow and Me!!!

Us doing it Han-style!
And no, Sow isn't pointing the middle finger!
She was busy trying to balance the cam with her other hand!

And off to Orchard Central to pick up Sow's Cinderella shoes and to grab some Gelare waffles! Yummy!

At Orchard Central!

At Gelare and with three girls in the helm, what else can we do but gossip and camwhore!

And...Hello Waffles!!! <3
Joys and Sow were sharing this waffle!

...While I had one all to myself!
MUHAHA! Yes, this is why I'm still so fat!

Joys with her waffle love!

Sow + her cookies & cream top + waffles!

 Me!
Okay, don't know why I look so tortured here!

Stuffing themselves silly with waffles & ice cream!

Rock climbing wall above us!
Our lives felt at peril!

Happy Waffle Meal!

And it was home sweet home for us!

Ta-da! And I love my makeup for the day!

Disclaimer:
Obviously I am not exactly good in my makeup skills but I thought the following might be useful to makeup noobs like me! (;

Apply the pearl pink eyeshadow (on the top left hand corner)
& the glittery diamante pink/purple (on the bottom left hand corner)

...And don't laugh but you will get this! (without flash)

Or this! (with flash)

It should look like this after opening your eyes!

The look from afar!

Hope that didn't waste your time and proved to be a useful/insightful read! ((:
