Father's Day Celebration - Part II

Celebrated the official Father's Day, 20th June, with Mom's side of family!

It was Mom's treat so Mom had already booked a neighborhood restaurant earlier on!

Although the restaurant was tucked away in a quiet spot among Ang Mo Kio neighborhood, eventually decided upon it as we had previously ate there (like 2 years ago) and their shark fin soup's shark fin was really thick!

Time check! 5.25pm!

Our family had to fetch grandpa at his provision shop first before proceeding down to the restaurant!

Took some photos along the way first!

Disclaimer: Some photos below might look exceptionally bright as they were simply too dark so I amended them using color contrasting!

 Sis with her pajamas <3
Used some color contrasting here!

 Me with my pigtails...yet again!
But hey, it's Father's Day! Had to look like my daddy's little girl right?!

Fetched "gong gong", turned a corner and reached the restaurant!

But ah gong being the adventurous sort, refused to go in and went for a stroll around the neighborhood with my parents acting as his bouncers! Lol!

Took another pic of sis while waiting for ah gong to come back

Ah gong coming back with daddy after his "neighborhood surveillance"

Soon after, my relatives - uncles, aunties and cousins arrived! Didn't had enough time to take photos as the dishes came flowing in (plus they are rather camera-shy)

First dish of the night!

Scooping up the Longevity Noodles!

 Waiting in anticipation <3

Tastes like "Sheng Mee"
Oh and the carrots are actually quails eggs!
Yummy Rating: 2.9/5

Second dish - Shark Fins' Soup!

Close-up of it!
Yummy Rating: 3.5/5
Tsk! The standard has deteriorated!
Shark Fin was rather thin and not as thick as before!

Third dish - Yam Ring with Scallop
Yummy Rating: 3/5
The yam ring had scallop inside it but pity, the yam was way too watery!

Fried chicken with garlic
Yummy Rating: 3.2/5
It would be better if the garlic was replaced by oats!
The chicken was also very dry!

The dishes after that weren't worth mentioning as they were not up to standard and some of them were prawn dishes and I can't take prawns so basically, I was sitting and staring at the others eating! Lol!

Our post dinner plates!

 The adult table!
There was two tables - the children table and the adult table!

Dessert - Mango Sago
Yummy Rating: 3.4/5
The mango sago didn't taste pure and tasted like it was cooked out of mango syrup!

P.S. Hope you guys enjoyed this post! Stay tuned for next post on Toy Story 3!
