Universal Studios Singapore - Part II

...And we were then off to the land of Madagascar!

"I like to move it move it, he like to move move it, she like to move move it, you like to...MOVE IT!"

Upon reaching, a beholding sight awaited us!

Do you see it? Can you find it?
Yeah, we're playing "spot the odd one out" game here! Lol!

Can you spot it much clearer now?
Yupp, it's a skeleton!
It's from the scene where Alex the lion and the gang first arrived at Madagascar and asked whether there's any human around and King Julien XIII the lemur directed them to the skeleton <3

My sis posing with the welcome sign which warns her not to feed the foosa!

Walked further down and met up with Alex and gang!

Yippe! We're all in this together!

Sis and I queued really long under the scorching hot sun for our reunion with them! But some really rude tourist couple cut everyone's queue by just storming in front and thrusting their camera in the hands of someone in the queue and happily made him took their photos despite angry protests from the crowd queuing!

Like what the hell! You'd have thought that some people would at least have the decency to present themselves well especially when they are in a foreign country!

1...2...3! We like to move it!
Gloria, let's go and flatten them please!

At King Julien's Beach Party-Go-Round

Left the land of Madagascar and reached Far Far Away!

Far Far Away from Singapore but in fact, still in the heart of Singapore! Lame, I know!

Me at Shrek's house or...hut...whatever <3

Ta-da! Inside the palace of Far Far Away!

Sideview of the castle

Front view of the castle

Anyway, I didn't know what I was snapping most of the time cause the sun was so damn scorching bloody hot that it's impossible to preview it on the camera screen before taking!

Oh and we were also here to watch Shrek in 4D!

 Shrek in 4D <3

Me and my hubby, Shrek! See?! Our tummies resemble each other! Just kidding!

The gingerbread man shoppie

Close up of Gingy!

Oh yeah, snapped all these while queuing up to watch the 4D show! And holy crap, there was a long queue to join!

And worst of all, it was super suffocating and humid inside the waiting area! No air-con! Only electric-driven wall fans, which was of no use at all since there was so much people!

See?! This is just one of the many reasons why theme parks like Disneyland and Universal Studios should be indoors and fully air-conditioned! Although I know they would probably be gunned down by earth activists or something but oh man, hot!

Inside the waiting area! Even the television set is medieval, very attention to detail!

We have our very own Singapore Airlines and Far Far Away have their very own airline too...in the form of Enchanted Airways!

Took a snapshot of my sis while we were in the queue

After waiting for damn long, we were finally IN!!!

King Harold and Queen Lillian's portrait <3

Walking down the walkway to the screening room

The chandelier along the hall

Presentation before entering the theater for the 4D screenings!

****SPOILERS AHEAD****
Oh yeah, at the presentation, we were each handed out 3D glasses to wear on later and all referred to as prisoners! We were told that one of the main antagonist (shall not reveal who and spoil your fun) who was supposedly dead, was still "alive" and that he has captured some of Shrek's friends (again shall not reveal who) and plans to harm Shrek!

After the screening, the doors of the theater opened and everyone just scrambled and squeezed their way in, à la MRT peak hour style (very typical Singaporeans' "Kiasuim" manner) which honestly seemed very Ugly Singaporeans (which includes yours truly

But I guess we can't change it cause we were brought up in this kind of thinking and "Kiasuism" is like already stemmed in our genes or cells the moment we were born! Although it is all honestly very disgraceful and how and what would foreigners and tourists think of us? Well, certainly not in a very good light!

Anyway, shall not side-track, back to the 4D screening! Once, inside the theater, there were stationary and movable seats, which played a distinct role in your theater enjoyment as if you chose the stationary seats, you'll be sadly deprived of some of the special effects which you can actually feel (i.e. smoke billowing on the back of your neck) hence the term 4D! Again, not revealing too much so go for it, if you want to know what I'm hinting about!

Kim's fun rating for Shrek 4D: 4/5 - >ABSOLUTE MUST-GO!!!

Anyway, after the 4D experience has ended, we left the theater and went into the Shrek-themed souvenir store!

Fairy godmother's potion shop; which actually sold...beverages!

Sis with her vanilla and chocolate twist ice cream

Spot us!

Left fairytale land and headed for more thrilling sites!

...Jurassic Park!

Off to the food court to use the restroom

The dinosaur skeleton in the middle of the food court

Sis and Mom in the midst of two dinosaurs!

The dinosaur ride that we gave a miss since we had to wait two hours for it
(even though there's no queue) which is completely insane!

The tracks of the twosome roller-coaster ride
(with both legs sticking out in mid-air); which was just directly above us!

...And here it comes!

Oops! And we have reached the end of Part II of my USS post!

Kimberly thanks you for your time <3

P.S. Stay tuned for Part III (final part) of USS, when we sit the "Revenge of the Mummy" roller-coaster ride and the Waterworks show in 2 days' time! Till then folks!
